So bright and unique, in respect of the performers, concerts are not a frequent occasion on Moscow jazz stage. Therefore the night of February 16th will become a highlight for many jazz connoisseurs of the capital city.
As it has been announced, on February 17th, in Moscow International House of Music there will be “Jazz Triumph 2008” annual international festival. Thanks to the founder of “Triumph” Igor Butman, a world-famous saxophonist, legendary foreign jazzmen will come to Moscow. And on the day before, the 16th, the festival participants and Igor Butman himself will perform an exclusive program on the stage of JazzTown Club.
The very team of performers will make the night unforgettable for jazz connoisseurs – world-famous musicians will be performing for them for the whole night. Among the foreign jazz stars, there is Gonzalo Rubalcaba, the brightest star of Afro-Cuban jazz with his quintet (Cuba-the USA) and Lee Konitz, a forefather of cool jazz, a cult saxophonist, and his trio (the USA). As for the domestic jazz legends, Igor Butman’s Big-Band and Eugene Borets’s Jazz Town Band will perform a jam session with the participation of Moscow’s leading jazzmen. And, as jazz is always an improvisation, you can find out what the exact concert program is like only if you come to the concert!
