04.04.2007 - We remember! We are proud!

First “George’s Ribbon” appeared in the streets of Russian cities right before the 60th anniversary of the Victory, in spring 2005. During the celebration days, the action united people of all ages and social layers. Every year “George’s Ribbon” becomes a larger event. It has turned into a good tradition, becoming a symbol of memory and respect for veterans.
In spring this year “George’s Ribbons” will reappear in the streets of Russian cities, near and far abroad. The slogans of the action starting on April 24th remain the same: “My Granddad’s victory is mine!”, “I remember! I am proud!” The aim of the action is to remind of the grandeur and the value of the Victory Celebration to the younger generation. To those who probably have not seen their veteran grandfathers alive, to those for whom the great victory of our country has become just a page from a history book.
Anyone interested may get a “George’s Ribbon” free in “Super Slots” halls from April 24th till May 12th.
