SHANGRI LA

25.04.2006 - A “Hot” Evening at Shangri La

On April 25, Storm International’s most prestigious casino hosted the presentation of a project jointly organized by Playboy magazine and Shangri La. The ladies of the evening were the charming Playboy girls – Anna Starykh (Playmate 2003), Maria Smirnova (Playmate 2000), Irina Belyakova (Playmate 2005) and Alyona Kalinina, who has frequently appeared on the magazine cover. The men who were present at the evening had the unique opportunity of being able to have their photos taken with these beautiful models, and it hardly needs saying that the gentlemen were literally queuing up to get themselves preserved for posterity in the company of such glamour.

The show was compered by Mikhail Bespalov, a popular actor from the Moscow Operetta Theatre, and VJ MTV’s attractive presenter, Marika. Incidentally, this charming lady felt as much at home as anyone at this festival of life, since last November Marika herself appeared on a Playboy cover. So figuratively speaking, she has had a long and loving relationship with the men’s magazine.

With such a stunning and eye-catching event going on at Shangri La, there were many famous names who felt they simply couldn’t miss out. Spotted among them were Alexei Panin, the actor, Archi, presenter of MTV’s Big Cinema, and Nikas Safronov, the fashionable artist and many others.

All the guests at the party received copies of the May edition of Playboy. The high spot in this issue was the photo session of the Playboy girls inside Shangri La. There was also another modest little souvenir in the form of a deck of cards decorated with photographs of the model-beauties.

Then a competition was held among the guests to find who could build the biggest card house, and the winner was given a year’s subscription to Playboy. Finally, stylish gifts were raffled in a lottery that was the culmination of this festivity of passion and chance – its biggest surprise was a necklace of white gold with diamonds and turquoise.
