22.01.2008 - Storm International is a Gaming Awards winner!  At the prestigious International Gaming Awards ceremony held on 21st January in London, Michael Boettcher (CEO and president, Storm International) has been awarded for Outstanding Contribution to the gaming industry. The first ever international Gaming Awards ceremony aimed to help international charities and promote a good image for the gaming sector, as well as giving recognition to those who have excelled in the industry, had several nominations devoted to the different fields of the gaming business. The ceremony brought together international manufacturers, operators and organisations from all around the world. Michael Boettcher was awarded for the outstanding contribution to the industry. As it was announced, it is a very special award “that will be decided by the judging panel whether any nominations really do have what it takes to receive this very special selective award. Any nominees and any eventual winner will have to show a continued and unending devotion to his/her or companies’ endeavours to strive for the best, and in doing so also prove that their efforts have helped others or indeed the whole industry. An award that will not easily be won or indeed have many nominations” (CasinoReview, December 2007). Receiving the award Michael Boettcher said that this would be possible only due to the efforts of the whole team of Storm International, which means the award is for the whole company. Lisa Barrett, Gaming Awards coordinator, said, “Mr. Boettcher has placed the Russian gaming industry on the international map.
