Andrey Ivankin, General Manager 

Andrey`s career is a good example of a gaming business experts` new generation which has appeared in Russia recently. It also proves that nowadays Russian managers in no way yield in their skills to Western ones.
Andrey graduated from the Civil Aviation Institute, but he was not able to find well-paid job in his field of study. When he was offered training in casino Gabriella he thought “why not?” During the day Andrey went to training and at night he worked part time in the vending kiosk.
In 1998 Russia was struck with default. Andrey decided to part with casino and organized his own travel agency. He had been in active tourism business for two years, until friends who stayed in gaming business offered him to work with the slot machines. Andrey had quite a vague knowledge about slot machines, but since he had experience working in Casino, he was hired to work as a slot-supervisor in Storm.
After that Andrey has worked in different locations of the holding. First he tried himself at “Titanic”, then he was transferred to Vinso Grand. From Vinso Grand he was moved to Shangri La, where Andrey achieved a position of shift-manager. The next step in his career was a position of slot-manager in Super Slots. When Carnival was being built Andrey took part in its construction. According to him, “it was really priceless experience”. Then Andrey was offered position of slot-manager assistant in Shangri La, after some time he became a General Manager of Carnival, then a General Manager of Jazz Town complex, and after being a General Manager of “Shangri La” at Saint-Petersburg became a General Manager of gaming operations at Storm main office.
Based on his own experience, Andrey is confident that if you show good results at work, nobody will suppress your career growth. It is necessary to show initiative, think more of what you are doing and know aims of your work. Positive attitude is also a great advantage. Positive person achieves better results and can solve any problems.
